Fly Canadian Bush Plane Direct To Camp

In 2023 we are offering guests the option of flight departures out of Eva Lake as well as from Thunder Bay.  Guests who depart from Eva Lake will fly to camp on the Dehavilland Beaver Float Plane, which is one of the safest and best known Canadian Bush Planes in the world.  Guests who depart from Thunder Bay, may fly on the Amphibious Cessna Caravan or the De Havilland Beaver.  However, because of the distance required to reach our remote Dora Lake Outpost, extra fuel is required – which means the aircraft payload is reduced.

No matter which departure point you choose, when planning what to bring on your fly-in trip, guests need to be aware of the weight restriction which will only allow a maximum of 300 lbs per person which includes body weight and baggage. So if you weigh 250 lbs you will only be allowed to bring 50 lbs of baggage / gear / tackle / grocery

What To Bring

Be sure to bring essentials, but it is important to organize amongst your group so you keep within the aircraft weight limit for your group size. For example the total weight limit for a group of 4 is 1200 lbs incuding body weight, baggage and supplies.

If you exceed this weight limit, an extra flight will be required, which will add to your costs.
