You will have your choice of booking a 5, 6 or 7 day package with flight departures from either Eva Lake – (near Atikokan) or from Thunder Bay.  Rates are quoted in American dollars and are per person based on parties of 4 – 8 pers

Note:

Groups of 2 and 3 are accepted, However add $350 per person US to above rates

Rates include the following:

  • Round trip air transportation to Dora Lake via Eva Lake or Thunder Bay

Modern outpost cabin accommodations on

Dora Lake include these amenities:

  • Propane Cooking
  • Outdoor Deep Fryer
  • All Cooking and eating utensils
  • 2 Propane refrigerators Showers with hot and cold running water
  • 8-10HP Boats / Outboard Motors / Gas

* Prices do not include 13% HST. Rates are quoted in US Dollars and are based on parties of 4-8 people. A $300 deposit is required to confirm bookings.

Due to strict enforcement of regulations by Transport Canada and to ensure passenger safety, passengers must strictly adhere to a combined baggage + body weight limit of 300 lbs per person. (For example if a passenger weighs 250 lbs, he would only be allowed to bring aboard 50 lbs of baggage) Additional flights will be required to transport excess baggage resulting in higher charges. This policy will be adhered to by the air charter service providing the flights in and out of camp.

Ontario Fishing Licences

We strongly suggest that you purchase your Ontario Fishing Licences as soon as possible upon crossing the border into Ontario/Canada. This will save time and avoid any delays upon your arrival at the air base and allow you to depart as soon as your flight is ready.

What To Bring

Be sure to bring essentials, but it is important to organize amongst your group so you keep within the aircraft weight limit for your group size. For example the total weight limit for a group of 4 is 1200 lbs incuding body weight, baggage and supplies.

If you exceed this weight limit, an extra flight will be required, which will add to your costs.

Departures From Thunder Bay

For 2023 we are adding the option of direct flights to Dora Lake Outpost from Thunder Bay.  This is a convenient option for any of our guests driving from USA who cross the border at Pigeon River via Hwy 61 north of Duluth, Mn.

The De Havilland Beaver float plane is operated by Plumridge Air and will be operated from the Thunder Bay Harbour

Upon your arrival in Thunder Bay, we will coordiante your float plane connection that allows for the quickest flight departure to Dora Lake.
Driving Via Hwy 61 To Thunder Bay

Cross the border at Pigeon River north of Grand Marais Mn
Take Hwy. 61 North to Thunder Bay (aprox 45 minutes)
Depending on your group size you may depart via the Thunder Bay Airport or from the Thunder Bay Harbour.  Upon booking, you will be provided with location and check-in instructions

Departures From Eva Lake

We have arranged with Kashabowie Air Services on Eva Lake to provide charter flights to Dora Lake. This is a convenient departure point for any of our guests driving from USA who cross the Canadian border at Fort Frances / International Falls. Eva Lake is approx 105 miles East of Fort Frances and 105 miles West of Thunder Bay.

Cross the border at International Falls / Fort Frances
Take Hwy. 11 East for a distance of 105 miles to Hwy 633
Drive 2 miles to Eva Lake West road, Turn right onto gravel road, 1 mile to Kashabowie Air Service
